Are we breeding prostitutes or graduates in our centre of excellence? It seems the dream of getting an honorable degree in the university is slowly fading away and becoming a thing of the past. With the headlines in our TV screens about the ‘Campus divas’, I am not surprised if most ladies will not complete their degree. Our universities have become brothels instead of learning institutions. Ladies are celebrated with what is in their backs and not with their brains. Rarely will you get decent people. Virginity has almost become a taboo. ‘Action takes place anywhere’; be it in the rooms or even in the tealeaves.
The worst thing is that the men don’t need to sweat to get their prey. The girls would rather cut the long story short and take themselves to the slaughterhouse. This will then put a tag to all ladies including the innocent ones as loose and cheap.
If ladies can see themselves as priceless objects and not as gold diggers, if ladies can see themselves as Honorable beings and not as sex objects; then we will no longer be seen as second-class citizens.
We are much more than a few shillings tossed to us once we have satisfied the needs of men.
Imagine a life where you have to go for regular checkup (not that it is not necessary) because you have multiple sex partners. You might have all what you need; be it cash, a beautiful place to live in a great car and even the latest technological equipments but you are still empty inside. To most ladies they would prefer contracting the deadly disease than getting a child.
We have the power and intuition to know what is wrong from right. We just need to be smart in whatever choice we choose. Let’s keep our stakes high and we will succeed. If we choose to tarnish our dignity and destroy our name, then we will become just another girl in our statistics.
